It's equipment manufacturers and distributors; contractors and appliance dealers, utility companies and inspectors. It's industrial giants and one person shops, national wholesalers and independent agents. It's engineers, installers, salesmen, and all those men and women who work to design, build, sell, install, operate and maintain electrical products and systems. What is the Electrical League of Arkansas?

In broad terms, it is a trade association, dedicated to serving the needs of its members, and to helping consumers make the best possible use of electrical products and services.

At the national level, there are many trade associations in the electrical industry. Investor owned and municipal utilities, and rural electrical cooperatives, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers' representatives, electrical contractors, inspectors, dealers, engineers... all have their own trade groups, and many of these national organizations have local chapters. Each seeks to improve the products of services of its members, and each serves a particular segment of the industry.

In contrast, the Electrical League of Arkansas is a local electrical association which represents not one but many branches of the industry. It covers the entire industry to promote the safe and efficient use of the electricity and electrically powered equipment in industry and commerce, homes, and farms. While working to develop and expand markets for every type of electrical product and service, it gives consumers important information on selection and use of these products and services. The result is better service to the public, more profit and better community relations for everyone in the industry.
